It's the year 2009. It's been three years since the first mutant was discovered. Our scientists are trying to find a cure. Some mutants are anxious for said cure; others dread it. Mutants either hide or be caught and captured, put in prison cells simply because they are different and no one can understand them. Many are political geniuses, sons or daughters of famous people, and many are ordinary people. Age, gender, or race don't affect anything; if they're mutant, then they're mutant.

Weatherton Heights; the gorgeous, yet rather small town in Virginia. Two schools, Brooke Haven and Isaac Newton High, one private, one public. That may seem like the only difference, but Brooke Haven is actually a private school for mutants only. Isaac Newton High is for anyone who needs an education. Valentine College is the only community college around for miles. Kids come from miles to join this college; just because of how old and revered it is.
