Requirements
There aren't any literacy requirements. If you can read and write in english, you're good to go. If you can understand what's going on in the plot, and such, you're good to go. If you can roleplay in character in the areas that are designated for that, you're good to go. If you're spelling and grammar aren't so hot, we understand, and will help you grow by giving you plenty of examples to follow. There are no post size requirements, we just ask that it is not a single line that you give us to work with.
There is some math involved in Cruinthe, and there are stats that are heavily involved in Cruinthe, if these things are confusing to you at first, but you really want to stay and play, don't worry about it. Ask a moderator, or another player to help you and they will. Our community is very friendly (not super friendly) and will help you get adjusted to Cruinthe as quickly as possible.
Cruinthe is a drastic jump from a normal roleplay, and there will be times when you will feel that it is much too difficult or is completely unfair. Well this is the truth; the game is designed to be extremely unfair to a single player. This board requires teamwork.

Cruinthe was once a prosperous land, one where peace was commonplace, and the wealth was growing. The people loved their king, and their royal family, and all was right with the world. The birds sang, the waters were clean, the trees were green, and the townsfolk gossiped and worked and lived on happily.
But it wouldn't last forever.
The city of Helkorth had fallen into darkness. It's Lord who was under the King's command was assassinated by a Demon, and the townsfolk were slaughtered and raised into the horrid undead. That's when the war commenced. The armies of darkness moved across the plains and forests of Cruinthe, and with every foe slain, their undead ranks were bolstered. Soon the towns in Everglade forest were taken over, first Morith, it's defenders were caught off guard and were no match for the undead forces. Then Rosterford fell, followed by Innorsford.
The Demon's victory seemed complete as its armies closed in on Sorath. But it was met with fierce opposition by the King's armies, and was pushed back to the largest forest in Cruinthe.
The forests were renamed to the Haunted wood, and the Dark forest by their current ruler, the Demon King Cuel Squ'al Ta'al. The plains outside of Helkorth were renamed the Shattered plains. Battle was often joined there, and the armies of the King shattered upon it's face. Like a howling rabid beast the undead came back from the brink of annihilation again, and again. With every failed siege, more joined the ranks of the demons and undead.
A year ago, the King himself rode into battle to dethrone the dark and evil demon lord of Helkorth, but was slain in one on one battle with his quarry just outside the fortress town gates. Now his only living relative rules Fordeth, and the remaining free lands. His daughter the princess, Melissa Justea.
Melissa Justea, unfortunately for the free peoples of Cruinthe, lacks the much needed military experience to effectively combat the threat. She appointed a general to lead the military until she learned enough from her advisers and the general to lead herself.
The Cruinthe War has only just begun. The noble warriors of the Cruinthe Defense Forces have been more than brave, fighting and dying at the hands of the undead. Sworn to protect all that is good and holy in the world. They have completed many missions, and saved many lives. Giving up their own in holy combat.
The Drow have surfaced from underneath the Darthak Region, and have pledged their aide to the strife of the brave warriors of Cruinthe.
Yet the coming of allies begets the coming of more enemies. A Traitorous Legion of former Cruinthians has been discovered by the Forces of Cruinthe. These Evil men and women have sided with the Demons, and seek only to destroy Cruinthe and the rest of the world!
Now the Alliance does battle against the undead and their demonic masters. They fight on with the champions of the light by their side. Some are favored souls by the Gods of the Light, and become legendary in their own right. Each has a story to tell, how they began, what happened to them. How did they become a legend, a hero, a savior?
There are some that are members of the Traitor Legion, vile men and women that are out to bring down the champions of the light. These are true villains, that seek to rule the world with the demons of the burning hells. Yet the clouds grow ever darker, as demons have been sighted on the front lines of the battle field, tearing into Cruinthe's defenders with relative ease. They fight alongside the Traitor Legion.
Cruinthe War is not your usual fantasy medieval rpg. Upon first glance, many of you will find that it is not for you. That is all good and well. Here on this forum things are serious business, it has a grim and dark storyline, and the monsters and missions are meant to defeat you. This roleplay is geared for people that can handle a little math (all you need is a calculator), and an ever growing challenge mounting over their heads. With the recent opening of Player -vs- Player gameplay, that is becoming an even larger reality.
To be short; Cruinthe is for people that want a challenge, can handle playing on a board whose difficulty level is set on "Nightmare" mode permanently. It is not for people that just want their character to be a loner the whole time, this is multiplayer mode. A single player would never complete any missions on Cruinthe.
For those players that join, and stick with us, I congratulate you. For you have some serious guts, and you are a truly hardcore roleplayer. If you are looking for a challenge, this place is for you.
